As for $100 dollar bills, one time I was with my ex-wife on White Plains Road near Pelham Parkway in the Bronx. She went to the TD Branch over there, and cashed a check and handed me 5 $100 bills to help with household expenses. I had an appointment up in Riverdale, and I have my accounts with Chase, and I knew there was a Chase Branch right there on 238th Street and Broadway where I had to get off the subway for my appointment. I went there to deposit the 5 $100 bills, and the manager came out and told me that 3 of the bills were counterfeit. I said I just got all 5 bills from the TD Bank at Pelham Parkway, and she told me that I would have to fill out a claim form for them, and they would have to do an investigation and hold the 3 bills, and they could only deposit the other 2 bills. I said no way am I going through this, I cancelled my deposit and got all 5 bills back, and went to my appointment, and then ran back to the TD Bank at Pelham Parkway. I told them what happened at the Chase at 238th Street, and all the stress they put me under. The branch manager ran all 5 bills through the scanner and said that there was absolutely nothing wrong with any of the bills, that the Chase Branch machine was set at "at too sensitive a setting", and they would give me 5 replacement bills if I wanted, which I gladly accepted. Perhaps the man with the fancy coat should get a job at the 238th Street Chase branch so he could steal customers' "fake" $100 bills all day. Glenn in Brooklyn, NY.
We live in Nashville much of the year and good bagels and pizza are nonexistent. How I envy you. Hoist one for me.
You making any big plans for the 100th anniversary of Temp Tee whipped cream cheese in three years? Keep me posted, please :)
