On October 14 at 8:00, there will be an online “Evening with the Elephants” with Think Elephants International and elephant researchers from Hunter College, consisting of presentations on biology, behavior, and conservation, followed by a live Q&A.
The life-size elephant sculptures are eighteen thousand dollars apiece; you can “adopt” a real orphan elephant, like Epiya, Korbessa, or Toto, for fifty dollars a year.
The New York City herd will leave on October 20; future destinations include Miami Beach, Florida; Browning, Montana; Jackson Hole, Wyoming; and Los Angeles, California.
